Children and families are well oriented on the basic health service and practice. For children, the aiming is to reduce the high percentage of malnutrition and being underweight.
2. Educational Enrollment
Parents/guardians of the children acknowledge and value the potential of sending their children to school within the school age determined by the concern ministry. Through education, children can shape their dream, plan for their future and equip themselves with the quality characteristic to obtain a standardize profession.
3. Safety Assurance
Children are being care and protected through Community Child Protection System (CCPS) to make sure the four basic child rights wholly taken by children, their parents and community people. Children are safe guaranteed and flourished inside and outside their living zone.

- Good School WASH Project
For smooth Good School WASH implementation and long term sustainability of outcomes, project have cooperates with four main groups of stakeholders:
The insufficient WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) facilities and security needs of school children and lead to a high risk of infections. This can affect children’s health and their ability to attend school, which can have a negative impact on their academic performance. Poor water quality as well as insufficient sanitation and hygiene practices are common issues in schools. In Cambodia, total schools across the country is 12,889, 85.9% of primary schools have latrines and 47.2% have hand washing facilities, 90% of target schools in the target areas are not WASH facility adequately and properly, 90% of children in target areas do not understand the six steps of hand washing and 34% of children and adults wash their hands properly at school (MoEYS 2016-2017)
Existing sanitation facilities and water supply is often in very poor condition or not functioning particularly in rural school.
In order to address these serious problems, Good Neighbors Cambodia has developed Good School WASH project to improve the Health, Hygiene & Sanitation situation in targeted of GNC. Direct beneficiaries approximately 7,290 students and children among 4 provinces and 1 urban to access Water, sanitation & hygiene at school and community in order to reach objective, Good School WASH project link with community development programs especially health & WASH sectors and following by school health department guideline. This project have three years period focus on social and technical aspects, we have plan to improve WASH infrastructures 45 schools, 45schools gardening and 45 schools plant trees also to build capacity school director, SSC and youth group leaders be able lead and facilitate the project good function.
Each school should work to develop adequate knowledge, attitudes and skills on hygiene through hygiene education and child participation. Improving hygiene behavior must go along with toilet construction and the provision of safe water and washing facilities in schools. Awareness on hygiene education, it’s a principle that new knowledge does not, by definition, translate into new practices. Therefore, WASH education seeks to instil hygiene practices into the realities of children’s daily lives, helping them acquire the knowledge of appropriate hygiene behaviors and the skills to use them and transform knowledge into practice.
